Really cant wait when the iPad will have serious processing power :).
It already has some serious processing power ;) It has the quad core i9 processor by schmintel with the new amd gfx99999 graphics chip for unquantative speeds that break the light barrier!
Oh no wait, that would be the atomic bomb... ;)

Very cool idea. Now, what airlines need to do is publish this information on their websites so you can know when choosing your seats what are the accommodations of 19F.
I'm going to Hawaii next spring on Delta, if I knew for sure that my seat will have video and a dock connector, I'd be sure to upgrade to an iPod video for the trip. That would be very, very cool.
So, next year we'll have iTV, hopefully higher res offerings in the itunes movie store and the ability to watch this on the airplane. Sweet.
Of course the one thing that no one has mentioned yet is that many of the screens on planes are in crappy condition... :(
"Excuse me! Does anyone want to switch with me who has a good screen and an isle seat? Anyone???" :D

Hope everyone is enjoying the beta. I pre-ordered from gamestop about 3 weeks ago, and went to get my key Thursday of last week.
Guy told me the last day to pick up a Beta key was wednesday. Missed it by one day! WTF.
My dates could be wrong, but I believe it was thursday.

Hard not to see the iPad 2 as a great product, even for CU. I'm surprised they didn't find something that would prevent them from recommending it.

No he didn't. Serves the ****er right. I read he was booed when he arrived. Obama killed and Seth Meyers was pretty funny. Videos below.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/05/01/seth-meyers-white-house-correspondents-dinner-speech-video_n_855946.html?ir=PoliticsSeth Meyers did a great job, Much better than the comedians at the past dinners. Craig Ferguson did a good job a few years ago but Seth really opened up on the whole room.
Obama had some great lines, not sure if they were all written for him or if he is naturally funny but the jokes were good for a president.

The above three posts are my best effort translating. That PC guy talks insanely fast. ;)
A very nice job on the translations. Besides generally knowing what they were saying (as everyone else could, since we knew the English), I couldn't pick up anywhere close to what you got. However, on the "uiurus" one, the second to last line should start
???
??
Anyway, as I was rolling thru the posts, I saw that someone already identified the "art of eating sushi" video they did. If anyone cares, they are a comedy duo called Ramens ???? and they have another video that is google-able about the art of apologizing. Not as good, but still funny. There are also a couple of other Flash(?) skits they do (at least it sounds like them...it is just (minimal) animation) riffing on Tokyo train station names (called kyoubashi ??) and on prefecture names (ibaraki ??) that are amusing. Especially if you see yourself in that particular language class.

I want to charge my MacBook from a campfire! Seriously, this is a very cool idea (please forgive the pun).
Brown also sees the chips ultimately replacing batteries altogether. He argues that by linking the modules to a microburner - a catalytic burner that produces between 275 and 600 degrees centigrade – you can heat the chips and generate enough power to run the device.

There's already a thread on this. Just as I did in that one, I think it's incredibly sad. The irony in what the RATM croud are trying to achieve is particularly amusing.

Why does everybody repeat the mantra 'Ivy Bridge'? Will it make the Intel's HD 3000 perform better in some kind of mysterious magical way? Or do you expect that by the time IB is released Intel will have developed a new, presumably better, IGP? Shall we expect the same comments "Intel IGP sucks I'm gonna skip IB and wait for whatever-bridge" again next year?
I am aware that, of all computers Apple produces, the MBA will suffer the most from advancements of technology because it is not upgradeable. So, if there are some radical improvements that IB will introduce that I might be interested in I will join the camp of people who will wait. The present 11" can't do the job I like it to, I need a faster processor but I like the form of 11" MBA.
because yes its certain that by ivy bridge, a better igp would be available but also you can look at it from another pov wherein even a sandybridge CPU upgrade is not substantial enough

And your point is? There really isn't a need for 64bit cpu's let alone OS's for most consumers. AMD is essentially responsible for putting the pressure on the industry to move toward 64bit as soon as it is.
For consumers a 64bit cpu and OS is nothing more than bragging rights...at least for a few years.

Also, I think NT is limited to 4 processors unless they have updated that recently. Clustering is not the same as a multi-processor machine. Unix scales better than NT, just deal with it. Apple could easily make a rack server that had 16 processors, with a kick arse OpenGL card and teach SGI a lesson. They don't have the market for that though...yet!

I'm not sure where you get your info but keep dreaming. You fail to mention what cpu's they would use. I don't think your going to see current G4's in 16 processor servers ever. It's just not designed to do it. That's not to say it cannot be done...just that it would be a waste of manpower and money to do it and not be very efficient at it no matter the market.

iOS Expose could be an improvement to multitasking, maybe they need to wait for the A5 to have the power to make it work.
