How come they cannot consider my EAD, Official transcripts, Graduate status letter?
Regarding Status letter, I have seen students applying like this and getting query later. What do you say about the students graduating in May (who files like me with OPT card and status letter) and applying for H1 in April?
You can postpone your graduation but you need to have completed all your credit hours and thesis work if any before you can apply on the master's degree quota. That is what people use their status letters for, to tell the USCIS that they have completed all degree requirements but will graduate later. In your case, since you haven't finished your degree requirements and will not do so by the time you apply for your H1B, the status letter is of no use.

Generally it is little difficult to sponsor a GC through one's own business. USCIS wants to know if it is a legitimate business, with revenues, employees, contracts etc

Plan it out with recruiting employees at a later stage. After some time apply for green card. You never know you would be able to make a succesful business.

his question was will bad credit affect GC? answer is "no it wont"
please dont suddenly become "Edward Jones" or "Suze orman" and give financial advice because you may be doing bettter than the person asking the question. God forbid, but one major illness can wipe out anyone's good credit, even with insurance. watch "Sicko" and "Maxed Out". Eye-opening documentaries about the predatory greed of the insurance and financial firms. Dont be so smug. kidding about other people's misfortune isnt funny.
Ok you just twisted my words, took it out of context and made new meaning out of it... oh man relax, i was not trying to kid about anyones misfortune here! I was not even thinking about it from that angel!
If you read carefully i did reply to his question although i do agree it is a bit cryptic ;) and if my reply sounded like kidding about "misfortune" then i really do apologize to the original poster, that was not my intent.

Since my current EAD is expiring Sep 10th, I'm planning to go to the local USCIS office for an interim EAD in first week of Sep.
What is the procedure, do i need to take infopass or any other apoointment or just walk in with papers ?
It's not yet been 90 days since i filed, but i still want to give it a shot. I plan to take a letter from my employer saying without interim EAD (without me being able to work) company would face a setback in a critical phase of project.
I also plan to use such a letter in support of an expedite request.
Gurus please advice:
- How soon should I fax expedite request?
- How soon/late should i go to local USCIS office for interim EAD?
- Could one interfere the other?

Really? Did they give you that information?
I have taken infopass 2 times in last 2 years, and they just tell me - we cannot tell anything about that info from the "screen" they have access to.
They just give a vague answer that everything is in order but your visa numbers are not available for your dates, you need to wait for visa number

I've heard so many variations of this. Does anyone have any experience acually doing this. Is it possible for your new company to sneak in and port your old company's LC/I140 withou them knowing or while you are still at the old company. Obviously you would not want to leave your old company till your new company gets the I140 with he old PD ported -right?

After that take CBEST, if you clear the exam, apply for admission to a credentail program. It will take about 50-60 credit hrs to complete the program. It will include about 4 months of teaching a 2 different schools which is called as directed teaching.Also you need to clear a battery of 3 exams called CSET which establishes subject matter competency in the subject credential you are working on. After that you apply to the Commission of Teacher Credentialing at the state capital and you get your certificate. Depending on haw fast you go, it could take any where between 2 years to 3.5 yrs to finish the program. Jobs are plenty in areas of Math, Physics for sure. Schools look for delivery style and communication skills a lot.
Take a look at your time left on H1B , make sure that ur wife can complete the program within your 6 year of H1B else she would not be able to convert from H4 to H1 unless you get your GC or EAD. Pls email me if you have any additional questions.
Salary is so-so about 50 K starting in CA, but good thing is that you work for only 9.5 months and your vacation and schedule could sync with that of kids and you could spend a good amount of time with kids unlike the other 8-5 jobs...!

Which US consulate did you apply? Do you already have H1B on your passport? I think the best option will be to approach your employer and have them sort this issue out. Sometimes, the consulate will request for some additional information from the employer and once they get this information, they will issue the visa.

but if they are not good, they may withdraw at this point and may feel "lets not get into more headaches"... in which case you may not pursue further.

I just spoke to my attorney and according to him there might be other repurcussions if I block the check. It seems he has heard cases where Federal govt can do proceedings against you for blocking a check and you might end up paying more. Did anyone block their checks sucessfuly and not get into any issues.

The reason is faulty data uscis and dos has been publishing.
And now to fix the issue "releasing faulty data" the solution they have implemented is "not publish the data" :)
You are correct..If you compare the 10/1/10 485 inventory and the one given by DOS for the Chinese EB3 lawsuit (posted in another thread by Sandy Anand), they don't match either.
